(To Quoc) - The "Green Sticky Rice Cake - Tet for the Poor" program in 2025 will take place on January 19, 2025, which is the 20th day of the 12th lunar month.

This is an annual event organized by the Management Board of the Vietnam Ethnic Groups Cultural and Tourism Village, demonstrating solidarity, mutual support, and contributing to the continuation and promotion of the tradition of "helping those in need," sharing the spirit of celebrating the traditional Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake 2025 with warmth and affection, and looking forward to a peaceful and prosperous new year.

Approximately 200 delegates, guests, and members of 16 ethnic communities participated in making banh chung (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes).

At the event, the organizers will distribute 660 gift packages (each worth between 1 and 2 million VND) from mobilized sponsorships to policy beneficiaries and disadvantaged households in Dinh Tien commune, Yen Dinh district, Thanh Hoa province (200 packages); Ninh Lai commune, Son Duong district, Tuyen Quang province (150 packages); Son Tay town, Thach That and Ba Vi districts, Hanoi (50 packages); the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Ba Trai commune, Ba Vi district (100 packages); the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Muoi hamlet, Yen Bai commune, Son Tay town, Hanoi (50 packages); and people living daily at the Vietnam Ethnic Groups Cultural and Tourism Village (110 packages).
