Giving away more than 10,000 'Food Passports' to tourists visiting Da Nang in the Food Tour campaign

On the evening of December 12, the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City announced the Da Nang Food Tour campaign with the message "Enjoy Da Nang cuisine - Beyond Bites".

This is the first dedicated culinary campaign in the country, aiming to develop cuisine into a unique tourism product, bringing visitors many interesting experiences.

This is also one of the activities to realize Plan No. 114/KH-UBND of Da Nang City People's Committee dated May 24, 2023 on Developing cuisine into a unique tourism product from 2023 to 2030.

"Culinary passport" for tourists

The establishments selected to participate in the campaign not only have delicious food, but also have interesting experience spaces, professional services, friendly and hospitable staff, and attractive culinary stories that leave an impression on diners.

The Da Nang Food Tour campaign includes a "Digital Food Map" (www.foodtourdanang.vn), introducing 400 prestigious culinary locations, local, regional and international specialties to enjoy or give as gifts, selected by Michelin Guide.

These establishments meet 5 criteria: characteristic, standard taste; nutrition, ensuring quality of ingredients; high quality service, unique experience; food safety; sustainability, environmental friendliness.

This website - digital culinary map has a modern, bilingual interface, simple operations, optimized search by name, category, and filters to help visitors find culinary locations easily.

The culinary digital map also provides a "Culinary Passport", how to redeem vouchers, instructions on how to prepare local dishes, promotional programs...

In particular, the campaign has a "Culinary Passport" with a program to collect 50 stamps from 50 unique culinary locations when visitors eat, to encourage visitors to experience a variety of dishes.

From December 15 to March 15, 2025, the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City will give away more than 10,000 bilingual "Food Passports" in English and Vietnamese at the tourist information counters of the domestic and international arrival terminals of Da Nang International Airport, the Tourist Support Center (18 Hung Vuong, Hai Chau District) and at 50 culinary establishments, some hotels, and major tourist attractions.

"Food Passport" is offered with online payment incentives by scanning VNPay QR code (VNPAYFOODTOUR) using a banking app, such as 10,000 codes giving away 5,000 VND for orders from 10,000 VND, 5,000 codes giving away 10,000 VND for orders from 100,000 VND.

50 culinary establishments participating in the "Culinary Passport" program also offer direct discounts and free dishes.

Customers who book SM Green Taxi to and from 50 locations in the "Food Passport" will receive 5,000 DaNangfoodtour codes with a 20% discount (maximum 50,000 VND/2 codes/user).

In addition, the more stamps tourists collect on their "Culinary Passport", the more "huge" services they will receive depending on the quantity, such as free hotel rooms.

For example, the first customer to collect the stamps of 2 Michelin-starred restaurants La Maison 1888 and 1 Michelin-starred Nen Da Nang will receive a Aphrodite Son Tra cruise tour worth 18.5 million VND and 1 night stay in a Deluxe room at Wyndham Golden Bay Hotel, 1 set menu F29 Golden Beef.

The first customer to have 15 stamps will receive a pair of vouchers to experience paragliding on Son Tra peninsula, 1 seafood voucher, 1 night stay in a Deluxe room at Wyndham Golden Bay hotel, and afternoon tea at Golden Bay.

Locals and tourists can redeem vouchers from the "Food Passport" at the Visitor Support Center (18 Hung Vuong), or take photos and send them to Danang Fantasticity Facebook .
