Giving away more than 400 health insurance cards worth over 560 million VND to women's association members

On October 10, the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union and the Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance (HSI) jointly organized a conference to promote social insurance and health insurance policies; and presented health insurance cards to female members who have overcome difficulties in 2025.

At the conference, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the Social Insurance of Ho Chi Minh City signed a regulation on coordination in implementing social insurance and health insurance policies and laws for the period 2025 - 2030. The Social Insurance of Ho Chi Minh City presented 304 health insurance cards with a total cost of over VND 384 million. Vietcombank, Ho Chi Minh City Branch presented 100 health insurance cards with a cost of over VND 126 million. Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company PNJ presented 39 health insurance cards with a cost of VND 50 million.

Deputy Director of HCM City Social Insurance Tran Dung Ha said that the funding for the health insurance cards was contributed by businesses, donors and all civil servants, public employees and employees of HCM City Social Insurance. This is a meaningful gift, contributing to helping women have more conditions to take care of their health, work with peace of mind and stabilize their lives.

The program of giving social insurance books and health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances is an annual activity of Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance. Each social insurance book and each health insurance card contains feelings and sharing to encourage people to take care of their health, overcome difficulties and improve their lives.

According to Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union Nguyen Thanh Loan, Ho Chi Minh City currently has more than 3,000 female members in difficult circumstances who do not have health insurance cards and face many obstacles in medical examination and treatment. The 443 health insurance cards awarded this time are a source of encouragement, demonstrating the concern, social responsibility and benevolence of the units towards female members.

At the conference, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the Social Insurance of Ho Chi Minh City signed the regulations and coordination plan for the period 2025 - 2030 on implementing policies and laws on social insurance and health insurance. The activity aims to promote the combined strength in propaganda, mobilization, development of social insurance and health insurance participants, and monitoring the implementation of policies so that social security policies come into life.
