Invited to work by the police for posting offensive information on Facebook

Due to personal frustration, a woman posted insulting information on social media and is being handled by the police.

On October 10, Tan Phuoc Ward Police (HCMC) is consolidating the case file to handle Ms. NTQ (born in 1982, residing in Phuoc Son quarter, Tan Phuoc ward, HCMC) for the act of insulting the honor and reputation of others according to Decree 15/2020/ND-CP (amended and supplemented in Decree 14/2022/ND-CP) of the Government .

Previously, Ms. Q. used the Facebook account "NP" to post on the group "Dan Phu My" content insulting another woman with vulgar words.

After receiving the report, Tan Phuoc Ward Police verified and identified Ms. Q. as the owner of the account “NP” and invited her to work. At the police station, Ms. Q. admitted that the content posted on Facebook was due to personal frustration, stemming from family conflicts. Ms. Q. deleted the post and pledged not to repeat the offense.

Through the above incident, Tan Phuoc Ward Police warned that social networks are not a place to resolve personal conflicts. Posting or sharing content or images that insult the honor and dignity of others is a violation of the law and will be strictly handled.
