According to the People's Committee of Cho Vam Commune, on October 6, a clip appeared on social media recording a scene of an 8th grade female student of Cho Vam Secondary School (Cho Vam Commune) being beaten by 2 male students in the same grade in the classroom. According to the school's initial verification, the incident occurred at around 9:00 a.m. on September 23.
The clip is more than 30 seconds long. It shows two male students hitting the female student on the head many times, one of them also kicking the female student in the head. The female student did not fight back, just held her head and endured the beating.
The school board has invited the students involved and their parents to clarify the matter. Through discussion, the students have accepted responsibility for their actions. The school has asked the students to write a self-criticism, coordinate efforts to remove the clip from social media, and handle it according to regulations.
The incident stemmed from a personal conflict between a group of 8th graders; the female student who was beaten was NTHT; the male students who beat their friend were NNA and NQĐ. The male student PHVP cheered on and lent NPĐ.N his personal phone to record a clip.
