Giving gifts and supporting Cambodian people in border provinces

Last week, in the border provinces of Tay Ninh and Long An, many activities to give gifts and provide practical support to the Cambodian people were organized to contribute to strengthening the relationship between the people of the two countries.

On the morning of June 15, at Xa Mat international border gate (Tan Bien district), Tay Ninh Provincial Women's Union coordinated with the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations, the Provincial Labor Federation and the Department of Foreign Affairs to present 150 gifts and 5 million VND in cash to Khmer Vietnamese living in Tboung Khmum province, Kingdom of Cambodia.

The gifts including rice, instant noodles and necessities were given to representatives of the Khmer - Vietnam Association, Tboung Khmum province branch, and then sent to people in difficult circumstances.

In Long An province, the provincial Border Guard coordinated with the authorities of border communes to provide funding to support the construction of an obstetrics and gynecology room in Tua Sa Day commune, Chanh Tria district, Svay Rieng province (Cambodia).

The People's Committees of My Thanh Tay, My Binh and Binh Hoa Hung communes (Duc Hue district) and My Thanh Tay Border Guard Station presented VND20 million to the local side. This money will be used to upgrade medical facilities, contributing to improving health care conditions for local women.

The activities have practically contributed to strengthening the connection between the border localities of Vietnam and Cambodia, strengthening the sentiments of the people on both sides of the border.
