In the early months of the year, the atmosphere of labor and production in the highland communes of northern Thai Nguyen becomes vibrant. From forested hillsides and orchards to concentrated livestock farming areas, people are actively engaged in production, gradually concretizing the socio-economic development goals according to the resolutions of the Party congresses at all levels.

Local authorities prioritize investment in transportation infrastructure, creating momentum to boost socio-economic development.

Immediately after the Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term, the Party committees and authorities of the communes promptly developed a comprehensive action plan for the entire term, assigning cadres to be in charge of specific villages and hamlets to monitor and direct the implementation. The content of the resolution was concretized into targets and tasks closely aligned with actual conditions, with a focus on shifting the economic structure and developing agriculture and forestry towards commodity production.

In Cao Minh commune, the development orientation is clearly defined in terms of exploiting the advantages of land and climate. Mr. Lam Van Dien, Deputy Secretary of the Commune Party Committee, said: The locality focuses on developing livestock and key crops, while encouraging people to apply advanced techniques and expand production scale. As a result, models of production forestry, fruit trees, and medicinal plants are gradually proving effective, contributing to increased income.

Along with crop cultivation, livestock farming in the highland communes is gradually shifting towards concentrated, biosecure forms. Many households are proactively investing in developing herds of buffalo, cattle, pigs, and poultry; forming cooperative groups for production and consumption. The value derived from livestock farming has improved accordingly, making a positive contribution to the transformation of the rural economic structure.

The people of Nghiên Loan commune are expanding the scale of buffalo and cattle farming, improving economic efficiency.

To ensure the resolution is put into practice, local authorities have focused on propaganda and mobilization efforts. The resolution's content is conveyed through Party branch meetings, village and hamlet conferences, and the activities of mass organizations in a concise and easy-to-understand manner.

Ms. Hoang Thi Duyen, Secretary of the Party Committee of Nghien Loan commune, commented: This approach helps people understand the goals, proactively transform production methods, and apply science and technology to practice.

Alongside production development, localities are focusing on mobilizing resources to invest in infrastructure. Many rural roads have been upgraded, and irrigation systems, power grids, and facilities serving production are gradually being improved. This is an important condition for expanding production scale, increasing the circulation of goods, and connecting to markets.

In Bang Thanh commune, developing distinctive products in conjunction with the OCOP program is identified as a solution to enhance the value of agricultural products.

Mr. Dao Duy Hung, Secretary of the Commune Party Committee, informed: Some local agricultural products and processed foods have gradually affirmed their quality, contributing to job creation and increased income. Sustainable poverty reduction efforts have been implemented comprehensively through support for seeds, preferential loans, and technology transfer, helping many households stabilize their lives.

In the coming period, localities will continue to closely follow the resolution, promote production linkages, expand consumer markets, and develop the economy while protecting the environment and preserving national cultural identity.

With the coordinated efforts of the political system and the consensus of the people, the socio-economic situation in the northern highland communes of Thai Nguyen province is gradually undergoing positive changes, and the lives of the people continue to improve.
