Recently, the Provincial Police have actively directed the Administrative Police force for social order and local police to speed up the issuance of electronic chip-embedded Citizen Identification Cards (CCCD) and electronic identification accounts.

In order to effectively implement the Government 's Project 06, in recent times, the provincial police force has focused on maximizing human resources, means, and equipment to speed up the progress of issuing chip-embedded citizen identification cards to all citizens aged 14 and over in the province, with priority given to students preparing to take the upcoming high school and junior high school graduation exams. The provincial police have directed police units and localities to establish many mobile CCCD working groups in the province, sometimes even working day and night, including weekends.

Although it was early in the morning, at the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order (Provincial Police), there were already citizens coming to apply for electronic chip-embedded ID cards. Thanks to the initiative in arranging and assigning staff to receive ID card application procedures in a scientific and reasonable manner, the procedures for people were processed quickly.

According to Senior Lieutenant Nguyen The Nam - Department of Administrative Management of Social Order (Provincial Police), thanks to the synchronous participation and active support of all levels and sectors, the issuance of CCCD cards in the area has been very favorable in the past time and has basically completed the set goals. Not only do we carry out procedures for issuing CCCD cards at the agency's headquarters, but we also bring machines to the homes of people with disabilities, the sick, the lonely, and those with no or limited mobility. Specifically, most recently, Department PC06 received a request for making CCCD cards from citizen Thai Quang Dung residing at 68/1 Tran Hung Dao Street ( Kon Tum City) regarding support for making CCCD cards at home for Ms. Nguyen Thi Quang (92 years old) due to old age, weakness, and inability to move.

Currently, in addition to supporting citizens aged 14 and over, students born in 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2008 are given priority to be issued with chip-embedded ID cards and activate level 2 electronic identification accounts in this period to prepare for the high school and junior high school graduation exams. Le Tan Dung, a 9th grade student at Nguyen Sinh Sac Secondary School (Kon Tum City), said: “The school informed us in advance about the procedure for issuing ID cards at the Quang Trung Ward Police Station. We are very happy to be able to make ID cards nearby without having to go far. During the process of making ID cards, we were enthusiastically and thoughtfully guided by the police officers and did not have to wait too long. Not only me, but also other students in the class and school were very excited to make ID cards.

Not only students preparing for the upcoming high school and junior high school graduation exams, mobile working groups also carry out procedures to issue chip-embedded ID cards and activate level 2 electronic identification accounts for eligible citizens. Mr. Nguyen Van Cong in Dak Hring commune (Dak Ha district) said, due to working far away, my wife and son recently went to Dak Ha district police to make an electronic chip-embedded ID card. Now that the mobile team has been notified of the commune, my family has come to activate the account. The working groups coming to the locality is very convenient, so we, the people, are very supportive.

According to the Provincial Police, up to now, the whole province has implemented over 426,155 electronic chip-embedded ID card records according to regulations. Thereby, helping people access many utilities when transacting and performing administrative procedures, actively contributing to digital transformation activities, simplifying administrative procedures and citizen documents according to Project 06 of the Government on developing applications of population data, identification and electronic authentication to serve national digital transformation in the period of 2022-2025, with a vision to 2030.

Kon Tum Provincial Police also requested those who have not yet made a CCCD to arrange time and urgently go to the CCCD making points in the district to complete the procedures for issuing a CCCD as soon as possible. Making a CCCD with an electronic chip is not only a right but also an obligation for the administrative reform.
