At the intersection between National Highway 51 and the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, there was a long traffic jam, cars lined up to inch their way onto the highway. Mr. Nguyen Minh Quoc (a truck driver) said that traffic jams often occur in the area, not only on holidays but also on normal days. The authorities need to have a plan to widen the intersection and regulate traffic reasonably so that people can travel conveniently.

Ms. Do Thi Muoi (a resident living near Nhon Trach bridge) said that during the holidays, the number of people from Ho Chi Minh City through Dong Nai to the Central provinces tends to increase, but traffic jams have not yet occurred.

At Cat Lai ferry, motorbikes and cars lined up to get on the ferry, creating a line of vehicles hundreds of meters long, following each other to get on the ferry. At the same time, the number of cars also increased, making it difficult for people to move in the direction of Ho Chi Minh City - Dong Nai.

Dong Nai Provincial Police and related units are also implementing a series of plans to ensure traffic safety, and recommend that people do not drive after drinking alcohol, do not overtake recklessly, do not encroach on lanes, do not use phones while driving, and strictly obey traffic signals to protect themselves and others.

Meanwhile, Dong Nai Department of Construction requested investors, construction units and contractors in the province to temporarily stop construction of traffic works, clean up, return the site, and ensure smooth traffic during the holiday. At the same time, it requested units managing, exploiting and maintaining road and inland waterway infrastructure to increase patrols and inspections on routes under their management. To effectively handle unexpected situations, the Department of Construction requested BOT units to develop plans to ensure security and order, and traffic flow at toll stations when traffic volume suddenly increases.
