This year's contest attracted 13,236 works by 1,054 authors from 31 countries and territories, an increase of nearly 30% compared to the previous contest, affirming the growing prestige of the art photography playground hosted by Vietnam. The entries fall into four categories: Color Freedom, Monochrome Freedom, Portrait and Travel , sponsored by the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP).

Speaking at the ceremony, photographer Tran Thi Thu Dong, President of VAPA, emphasized that VN-25 has become a prestigious “meeting place” for the global photography community. The quality of this year’s works is outstanding, demonstrating cultural diversity, creative depth, and the authors’ ability to exploit light and impressive composition.

Four independent international jury panels selected 663 exhibition photos from 383 authors from 22 countries and territories; and awarded 47 prizes according to the VAPA and FIAP systems.
Vietnamese photographers won 34 out of 47 awards, continuing to affirm the position of the country's photography. Five gold medals went to: Nguyen Trong Tam with "Ocean Discovery ", Nguyen Tien Anh Tuan with "The Power of the "King Cobra" SU-30mk2", Tu The Duy with "With the Fish", Do Thi Thuan with "Eyes of the Prairie" and Le Khai Nhan with "Two Smiles".

Although appreciating the maturity and creativity of domestic authors, the Chairman of VAPA said that Vietnamese photography still has some outdated topics and techniques, and needs stronger breakthroughs to catch up with the international creative flow.

The VN-25 exhibition is open until December 9, offering the public the opportunity to enjoy new perspectives on people, nature and life from many different cultures.
