The event, organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, marks the beginning of a series of vibrant tourism events aimed at stimulating domestic and international tourism, boosting tourism economic growth at the end of the year, and welcoming the new year 2026.

In his opening remarks, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Dung emphasized the city's open, modern, and creative spirit, expressing his belief that the 5th Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Week will be the starting point for a series of new tourism activities, showcasing distinctive tourism products and further affirming the city's appeal as an inspiring, energetic destination that is constantly evolving and reaching new heights.
The city aims to create a vibrant experiential space, spreading the festive spirit and stimulating tourism, trade, and culinary activities at the end of the year; opening opportunities for businesses to introduce new products, strengthen market connections, and work together to build a friendly, safe, and sustainable tourism environment.

“The Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Week 2025 is not just an event, but a commitment of the city: a commitment to a friendly, vibrant, green, and sustainable tourist city; a commitment to collaboration between the government, businesses, and the community; and a commitment to promoting Ho Chi Minh City's central role in the regional and national tourism network,” Mr. Nguyen Van Dung emphasized.
At the launch ceremony, the organizing committee announced a digital communication strategy emphasizing service quality and enhancing the city's image promotion on digital platforms; collaborating with the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Preservation Support Fund and TikTok Vietnam to implement a media cooperation program promoting the image of 168 wards, communes, and special zones of Ho Chi Minh City on digital platforms. The program aims to select 168 local representatives to become content creators, showcasing cultural values, destinations, unique products, and the identity of each area – spreading an authentic image of the city from within the community; and announcing and awarding certificates for "Friendly Destination 2025"…

The highlight is the enthusiastic participation of all 168 wards, communes, and special zones in Ho Chi Minh City.

New tourism programs and services announced within the framework of Tourism Week include: Cultural Experience - Tan Dinh's Imprint (Tan Dinh Ward); Touching the Past (Binh Tay Ward); Xuan Hoa - The Old Charm in the New City” (Xuan Hoa Ward), Tour “For a Green Con Dao - Green on Every Journey”; Tour “Sunset Cruise on Indochina Star”…

During Tourism Week, there are many attractive activities such as: the "Cho Lon Food Story" 2025 food festival; artistic kite flying and water sports activities in Ho Tram; a tourism promotion and traditional music performance space in Binh Thanh ward; the announcement ceremony for the tourism product "Cultural Experience - Tan Dinh's Imprint"; Culture - Tourism - Shopping Week; the Recycled Costume Festival - "Dinh River in My Heart"; a night market showcasing regional dishes, culture, music, and folk games...
