On the afternoon of December 5th, at the Saigon Central Post Office (Ho Chi Minh City), candidates of the artLIVE Breaking Championship 2025 competed fiercely to win a ticket to the next round.
This is one of the opening activities, and also a highlight, of the 3rd Saigon Urban Street Fest in 2025, taking place from December 5th to 7th.
Ms. Trang Duong - head of the organizing committee - said that artLIVE Breaking Championship is a playground for "street warriors". It also provides an opportunity for professional dancers to express their identity, personality, and unique style.
The judging panel includes Khanh Thi, Alexander Tu, MC Buck, and Choco Liu. Choco Liu is from Taiwan and is a Class A international referee and a national-level breaking coach.
Dancesport champion Khanh Thi stated that her mission is to spread the art of dance so that more people can access it. That is also the reason she accepted the invitation to be a judge, and she hopes to support dancers who are passionate about the profession but have not yet had the opportunity to shine.
"Through this competition, we introduce talented young people to professional competitions and community exchange programs, bringing them closer to a wider audience," Khánh Thi emphasized.

Regarding the judging criteria, MC Buck told Tuoi Tre Online : “I set high standards for technique; contestants must have a basic foundation in hip hop, dance…; musicality is also very important, as is the ability to express their personality through specific musical styles.”
Judge Choco Liu commented that the street dance community in Vietnam is developing very rapidly. The dancers are ambitious, enthusiastic, and confident in expressing their own unique identities. The authenticity in street dance creates its appeal, and this is why I want to return to Vietnam to see what young people bring to the stage.
In this festival space, young people can participate in folk games; art workshops on making jewelry and accessories; and admire a large-scale graffiti artwork themed " Be Vietnam" created by artist Nguyen Cong Danh - the winner of the artLIVE Graffiti Championship 2024 .
In particular, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy music and interact closely with two guest singers, Orange and Duong Dominoc, on the afternoons of December 6th and 7th.
According to the organizers, the graffiti will be auctioned off, and all proceeds will be donated to the Draw Your Dream project, spreading a community spirit for children across the country.
