On the evening of December 5, more than 15,000 people came to Lam Vien Square (Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat) to attend the opening ceremony and enjoy the art program of the International Tea Festival - World Tea Fest 2025 organized by the People's Committee. Lam Dong province, Lam Dong Tea Joint Stock Company and Nam A Commercial Joint Stock Bank organized.

More than 15,000 people attended the opening ceremony of the 2025 International Tea Festival and enjoyed the art program.

International Tea Festival 2025 with the theme "Connecting the essence of tea of humanity", was held for the first time in Vietnam. Attending the opening ceremony were Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son; former Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan; Mr. Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Lam Dong Province. Also attending the program were 26 ambassadors of countries, UNESCO representatives and nearly 30 international organizations, businesses, experts and many domestic and foreign tourists.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son highly appreciated Lam Dong province and agencies and enterprises for coordinating to organize the 2025 International Tea Festival, with many practical events associated with cultural activities to honor Lam Dong tea producers, processing and trading enterprises and the tea industry of the whole country.

In order for the Vietnamese tea industry to develop sustainably in a green, clean, high-quality and high-value direction, the Deputy Prime Minister requested central ministries, localities and Lam Dong province to continue promoting the restructuring of the tea industry, towards large-scale production, application of high technology, deep processing, product diversification, meeting international standards.
Lam Dong provincial leaders pledged to create the most favorable conditions for cooperation, investment and international exchange activities on tea; at the same time, they hoped that the festival would open up new development directions for high-tech agriculture, green economy and cultural tourism of the province.

The highlight of the opening ceremony was an art program vividly recreating the journey of the tea tree that has been associated with Vietnamese life for many generations, with the participation of hundreds of artists.

The show featured 80 Miss Cosmo beauties from countries famous for tea.

In addition, the audience enjoyed vibrant performances by singers Noo Phuoc Thinh, Duong Hoang Yen, Trang Phap, Dong Hung, Duy Linh, Meritorious Artist Quynh Huong... The costumes with cultural colors of the countries and energetic performances created a brilliant international festival atmosphere, leaving a special mark in Da Lat.
At the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee presented 3 billion VND to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province.

VietKings organization announced 4 new Vietnamese records related to Lam Dong tea industry and the 2025 International Tea Festival. The Vietnam-Japan UNESCO Union awarded the certificate of intangible cultural heritage practice to Lam Dong Tea Joint Stock Company for its efforts in gathering the practice community and spreading tea knowledge.
The 2025 International Tea Festival takes place from December 5-7 in Da Lat, Bao Loc and some typical tea growing areas of Lam Dong province with many rich activities such as: International Tea Exhibition Fair, Summit on Sustainable Development of Tea Industry, Tea Music Festival, Diplomatic Tea Program, Street Festival and colorful tea cultural space.
