On the evening of December 5th, over 15,000 people gathered at Lam Vien Square (Xuan Huong Ward – Da Lat) to attend the opening ceremony and enjoy the artistic program of the World Tea Fest 2025 , organized by the People's Committee of Da Lat. Lam Dong province, Lam Dong Tea Joint Stock Company and Nam A Commercial Joint Stock Bank organized the event.

International Tea Festival The 2025 Tea Festival, themed "Connecting the Quintessence of Humanity's Tea," was held for the first time in Vietnam. Attending the opening ceremony were Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son; former National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan; and Mr. Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Lam Dong Provincial National Assembly Delegation. Also participating were 26 ambassadors from various countries, representatives from UNESCO, nearly 30 international organizations, businesses, experts, and a large number of domestic and international tourists.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son highly appreciated Lam Dong province and the agencies and businesses that coordinated the organization of the 2025 International Tea Festival, with many practical events associated with cultural activities aimed at honoring tea producers, processing and trading businesses in Lam Dong and the tea industry nationwide.

To ensure the sustainable development of Vietnam's tea industry in a green, clean, high-quality, and high-value direction, the Deputy Prime Minister requested central and local ministries and agencies, as well as Lam Dong province, to continue promoting the restructuring of the tea industry, aiming for large-scale production, application of high technology, deep processing, product diversification, and meeting international standards.
The leaders of Lam Dong province pledged to create the most favorable conditions for cooperation, investment, and international exchange activities related to tea; and also hoped that the festival would open up new directions for the development of high-tech agriculture, green economy, and cultural tourism in the province.

The highlight of the opening ceremony was an artistic program vividly recreating the journey of the tea plant, which has been closely associated with the lives of Vietnamese people for many generations, with the participation of hundreds of artists.

The show featured 80 Miss Cosmo contestants from countries famous for tea.

In addition, the audience enjoyed vibrant performances by singers Noo Phuoc Thinh, Duong Hoang Yen, Trang Phap, Dong Hung, Duy Linh, Meritorious Artist Quynh Huong, and others. The costumes, showcasing the cultural colors of various countries, and the energetic performances created a dazzling international festival atmosphere, leaving a special mark on Da Lat.
At the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee presented 3 billion VND to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province.

VietKings announced four new Vietnamese records related to the Lam Dong tea industry and the 2025 International Tea Festival. The Vietnam-Japan UNESCO Federation awarded a certificate for intangible cultural heritage practices to Lam Dong Tea Joint Stock Company for its efforts in gathering the community to practice and disseminate tea knowledge.
The 2025 International Tea Festival will take place from December 5-7 in Da Lat, Bao Loc, and several typical tea-growing regions of Lam Dong province, featuring a variety of activities such as: an International Tea Exhibition, a High-Level Conference on Sustainable Tea Industry Development, a Tea Music Festival, a Tea Diplomacy Program, a Street Festival, and a vibrant tea culture space.
