3 trucks caught fire in series on Van Phong - Nha Trang highway

This morning, December 6, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Quang Dang, Head of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Khanh Hoa Province Police, said that a series of three truck fires had just occurred at km 343 on the North-South Expressway, in the Van Phong - Nha Trang section.

According to initial information, in the early morning of the same day, trucks with license plates 50H-408.23, 89C-203.05 and 77C-172.89 were traveling in a row in the South-North direction on the Van Phong - Nha Trang highway. When reaching Nam Ninh Hoa commune ( Khanh Hoa ), the truck in front suddenly caught fire, and the two trucks behind were unable to handle the situation in time, so the fire spread.

Immediately after receiving the report from the patrol team of Highway Traffic Police Team No. 6, Department 6, Traffic Police Department - Ministry of Public Security at 1:11 am, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police mobilized 12 officers of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Team of Area 3 and 6 officers of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Team of Area 1 along with 3 fire trucks to urgently arrive at the scene.

In the dark, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police of Khanh Hoa Province Police tried to extinguish the fire.

However, at this time, the fire had broken out strongly, the flames engulfed all 3 trucks. The police force had to spray water for nearly 1 hour to extinguish the fire. The fire did not cause any human casualties because the drivers and assistants on the 3 trucks managed to escape. However, the trucks with license plates 50H-408.23 and 89C-203.05 were completely burned, leaving only the iron frame. The third vehicle, a tractor with license plate 77C-172.89, had its cabin burned down, leaving only the trailer.

The fire did not cause any human casualties, but two trucks were completely burned, one truck had its cabin burned down.

This morning, Khanh Hoa Provincial Police Department is coordinating with relevant units to conduct a crime scene investigation and investigate the cause of this fire.
