With the theme “Connecting the essence of tea of humanity”, the 2025 International Tea Festival takes place from December 5 to 7 in Da Lat, Bao Loc and some typical tea growing areas of the province. The program includes many activities such as the International Tea Exhibition Fair, the Summit on sustainable development of the tea industry, the Tea Music Festival, the Diplomatic Tea Program, cultural spaces and street festivals.
Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Dinh Van Tuan affirmed that tea is not only a typical product but also has cultural value, is a "messenger of peace", a symbol of tranquility, contributing to connecting people.

This year’s festival attracted the participation of more than 50 Ambassadors, Consuls General and more than 80 beauty ambassadors from more than 80 countries. This is an opportunity to promote Vietnamese tea products and tea culture; at the same time, expand international cooperation, promote links between tea producers, distributors and consumers, contributing to the formation of a global value chain.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son emphasized that Vietnam has a long tradition of tea production and consumption; the tea industry holds an important position in the world with the 5th largest planting area and 7th largest output globally, exporting to more than 70 countries and territories. In recent times, the Government has focused on removing difficulties and perfecting policies and mechanisms to support people and businesses in developing production and increasing the value of Vietnamese tea.

However, the tea industry still faces many challenges such as the impact of climate change, loose value chain linkages, exports mainly in raw form, and limited trade promotion activities. For sustainable development, the Deputy Prime Minister suggested that localities, including Lam Dong, continue to restructure the tea industry towards large-scale production, high-tech application, deep processing and product diversification; develop organic and circular production models; link production with culture, tourism and environmental protection; and focus on building a strong brand for Vietnamese tea.
The Deputy Prime Minister hopes that international partners will increase cooperation, investment and technology transfer to help the tea industry improve production capacity and meet market demands. The Government is committed to accompanying and creating favorable conditions for businesses to feel secure in investing and developing.

Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son believes that with the efforts of localities, businesses and people, along with existing potential, Vietnamese tea products will continue to affirm their quality and reputation in the international market, becoming the pride of Vietnamese agricultural products in the new development stage.
