Impressive art programs at the 2025 International Tea Festival

At Lam Vien Square, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee coordinated with Lam Dong Tea Joint Stock Company and Nam A Commercial Joint Stock Bank to organize the opening ceremony of the International Tea Festival (World Tea Fest 2025). This large-scale event was held for the first time in Vietnam, bringing together a series of cultural, economic and diplomatic activities to honor the value of Vietnamese tea and expand international connections.

Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son highly appreciated the efforts of Lam Dong province and its partners in organizing the 2025 International Tea Festival with many practical activities, connecting culture and economy . Vietnam is a country with a long tradition of tea production and consumption, currently holding a solid position in the world market when its products have been exported to more than 70 countries. In particular, Lam Dong is the main raw material area, possessing many effective and creative production models in developing the tea industry value chain.

In order for the Vietnamese tea industry to develop sustainably in a green, clean and high-value direction, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son suggested that ministries, branches and localities continue to restructure the tea industry, promote large-scale production, link value chains, apply high technology and deep processing; diversify products to meet international standards. In addition, it is necessary to exploit culture and tourism associated with the tea industry, build strong brands and increase service value.

In addition, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son also hopes that international partners will expand investment cooperation and technology transfer to support Lam Dong tea industry and Vietnam to develop the market in the spirit of "harmonious benefits and shared risks".

"With the initiative, creativity and desire for innovation of localities, businesses and people, Vietnamese agricultural products, especially tea products, will increasingly affirm their reputation, quality and position in the international market, contributing to spreading pride in the Vietnamese agricultural brand," Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son added.

Similarly, Mr. Dinh Van Tuan, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, said that Lam Dong tea stretches from Cau Dat, through Di Linh to Bao Loc, becoming the pride of the locality and increasingly affirming its position domestically and internationally. Therefore, this festival is an important opportunity for the province and businesses to introduce products, promote unique tea culture, and expand international cooperation in the fields of production, processing and trade.

According to the reporter of Tin Tuc and Dan Toc Newspaper, the opening ceremony space was elaborately invested with a special art program, gathering many singers and contemporary artists, attracting a large number of people and tourists. With the theme "Connecting the quintessence of tea of humanity", the International Tea Festival - World Tea Fest 2025 includes a series of events such as an international tea exhibition fair, a summit on sustainable development of the tea industry, a tea concert, a diplomatic tea program, a street festival and a tea cultural space.

The highlight of this year’s festival is the performance of making and offering tea in the “Vietnamese Tea Ceremony” style by 1,111 tea farmers; the presence of 1,000 ancient tea trees over 100 years old; and 80 Miss Cosmo contestants from many countries famous for tea. These activities contribute to introducing the depth of Vietnamese tea culture, affirming Lam Dong’s position as a center for production, exchange and connection of the tea industry in the region.

The International Tea Festival, taking place until December 7, promises to bring rich cultural experiences, enhance international exchanges and open up new development opportunities for the Vietnamese tea industry.
