On the afternoon of November 27, the People's Committee of Cua Lo town, Nghe An province held a conference to summarize tourism activities in 2023, deploy tasks in 2024 and award the Cua Lo Tourism Promotion Press Award.
This year, the Organizing Committee of the Cua Lo Tourism Propaganda Press Award selected 50 excellent works in the categories of visual, spoken, printed, electronic and photo journalism to award prizes, including 3 First prizes, 7 Second prizes, 16 Third prizes and 24 Consolation prizes.

Among the works that won the Cua Lo Press Award, Journalist Le Giap, Head of the Central Representative Office of the magazine Life & Law, won the Second Prize with the series of articles "Cua Lo Tourism in 2023: Holding back feelings, waiting for a new look" and reporter Nguyen Anh Ngoc won the Third Prize with the series of articles: "Tightening the regulation of unregistered electric vehicles still operating on the roads of Cua Lo town".
The award-winning works all have high discovery and strong dissemination, serving the local political tasks; new features and new ways of the town in tourism development; new issues and new models in Cua Lo tourism activities and socio-economic development fields in the town, contributing to the propaganda and promotion of Nghe An tourism and Cua Lo tourism to the general public.
Journalist Le Giap, Head of the Central Representative Office of the magazine Life & Law, has won the Second Prize, Cua Lo Tourism Propaganda Journalism Award.
Also at the conference, the Nghe An Provincial Journalists Association and the People's Committee of Cua Lo town jointly organized the launch of the Cua Lo Tourism Promotion Journalism Award 2024.
In 2023, Cua Lo activated tourism early with the Sea Daisy Ao Dai Festival in March, successfully organized the Opening Ceremony of the 2023 Cua Lo Tourism Festival and an art program with the theme "Cua Lo - Colors of the Sea", with the highlight being a 15-minute fireworks display that marked the beginning of a prosperous year of Cua Lo tourism.
Throughout the peak tourist season, the town has organized a series of cultural, sports and festival activities such as: Organizing the second town chef competition, Street Music program; art program about Vi and Giam region; lantern festival, hot air balloon festival; open bicycle race for the second Sea Daisy Cup... attracting a large number of tourists and people to participate.

Tourism business activities in Cua Lo have flourished and achieved positive results. Last year, Cua Lo welcomed and served 3.6 million tourists, reaching 106% of the yearly plan, up 14.2% over the same period. Of which, the number of overnight guests is estimated at 1.256 million, reaching 100.05% of the yearly plan, up 10.5% over the same period. Revenue from service and tourism activities is estimated at 3,562 billion VND, reaching 100.03% of the yearly plan, up 10.6% over the same period.
In 2024, the town will celebrate its 30th anniversary and its 10th anniversary of being recognized by the Government as the country's first coastal tourist city. The goal is to welcome 4.15 million tourists, an increase of 15% over the previous year. Tourism revenue will reach VND 4,200 billion, an increase of 18% over 2023.
In addition, the town will focus on many synchronous solutions, continue to take advantage of available advantages and potentials, mobilize external resources, attract investment to promote comprehensive tourism development in terms of scope, scale and quality, making an increasingly important contribution to the socio-economic development of the town.
