(LĐ online) - On May 25, Südwolle Group officially inaugurated the Dalat Wool Spinning Factory (DWS) and introduced the new Textile and Dyeing Factory Project in Ninh Thuan province.

Leaders of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, Mr. K'Mák - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Mr. Pham S - Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, leaders of local departments and branches, and Südwolle's partner corporations attended the solemn inauguration ceremony.
Südwolle Group started production in Vietnam in 2019, but had to postpone the opening ceremony due to the Covid-19 pandemic. After 4 years of production, the Company is proud to celebrate the opening ceremony; at the same time, it is an opportunity for the Company to share its latest innovations, sustainable solutions and high-quality products.
DWS is a joint venture between the Südwolle Group and the Lien Phuong Textile Group and is one of the most modern and sustainable combed wool spinning mills in the world . DWS's current production capacity is 45 tons/week with 14,400 spindles. This capacity will soon increase to 70 tons/week with the installation of an additional 7,200 spindles. The Dalat Wool Spinning Mill can produce dyed and combed natural yarns from 100% Merino wool and wool blends, which are widely used in woven, circular knitting, flat knitting, socks and technical yarns.
As a leading producer of all-natural wool, the Südwolle Group, a family business founded in 1966, has production facilities and warehouses in eight countries, including Vietnam. The group’s total capacity is 26,050 tonnes/year for long-fiber spinning and 6,000 tonnes/year for air-jet spinning.

In addition, the Group has two dyeing plants in China and Germany with a total dyeing capacity of 11,000 tons/year and a wool processing capacity of 6,900 tons/year. The Südwolle Group employs more than 3,200 people in production facilities and sales offices worldwide, including Hong Kong, New Zealand, South Africa and the United States.
In Da Lat, DWS's factory has approximately 300 employees and is expanding its production line in the near future.
Also at the inauguration ceremony, the Company introduced the future Dyeing Factory Project, which will be one of the most modern facilities in the industry. The Dyeing Factory will employ 90 people and be capable of producing seven tons of high-quality dyed wool or yarn per day. The Dyeing Factory location in Ninh Thuan province will use renewable energy from the abundant solar and wind power systems in the province.

Mr. Pham S - Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee welcomed Südwolle Group on officially inaugurating the factory after 4 years of operation in Lam Dong province. Mr. Pham S assessed that Südwolle Group has effectively restored production after the Covid-19 pandemic, fully fulfilling its obligations to the Vietnamese Government.
In 4 years, Südwolle has paid 9 million USD to the budget; at the same time, creating jobs for hundreds of local workers, with good treatment, strictly complying with Vietnamese law. Mr. Pham S hopes that Südwolle Group will continue to stick together, expand production in Lam Dong as well as other localities, focusing on green and sustainable development with the community.
