The program took place enthusiastically with the participation of more than 100 union members, youth and children in the commune. This is a key activity in a series of local events to promote the pioneering and volunteering role of young people in joining hands to build a safe community, responding to the Youth Volunteer Campaign "Green Summer" in 2025.
At the program, children were instructed on the necessary skills to prevent drowning when bathing in rivers and streams - which is especially important in a locality with many dangerous river terrains such as Dong Giang. Basic escape skills when being swept away by water, first aid for drowning victims, self-defense methods and identifying the risk of child abuse were also conveyed visually through illustrated models.

In addition, free swimming classes are taught by young coaches from the Commune Youth Union to help children get acquainted with the water environment, practice physical training, and enhance their ability to respond to emergency situations.

This year's "Green Summer" campaign in Dong Giang also has many meaningful activities such as visiting and giving gifts to families with preferential policies and installing danger warning signs on rivers and streams.
