Training for Economic and Environmental Police Force

(GLO) - On the morning of May 6th, at Dien Hong ward, Gia Lai Provincial Police organized a training conference on basic professional skills, documents, and specialized topics for the economic and environmental police forces throughout the province.

At the conference, speakers from the Economic Police Department presented eight key topics in the economic and environmental fields, including: reviewing and handling polluting facilities and areas with serious environmental pollution; combating, preventing, and handling related violations of the law; coordinating propaganda and protection of wild animals and marine resources; preventing and combating crimes and violations of the law in the exploration, exploitation, transportation, storage, and illegal consumption of sand and gravel; reviewing, combating, and handling crimes violating the law on food safety…

Speaking at the conference, Colonel Huynh Bao Nguyen, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, emphasized that the training was an opportunity for commune-level police to improve their awareness, master the procedures, regulations, and guiding documents from higher levels on basic professional skills as well as major topics in the fields of economics and environment, thereby implementing them synchronously and effectively in the future. He requested that after the conference, the trainees proactively disseminate and guide officers and soldiers in their units and localities, especially those directly involved in advising and monitoring basic professional skills and specialized topics of economic and environmental police. At the same time, they should flexibly apply the knowledge to practical work. The focus should be on handling prominent issues such as illegal mining, food safety violations, environmental pollution, smuggling, commercial fraud, production and trading of counterfeit goods, and the protection of endangered and rare wild animals.

The Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department requested that police forces at all levels intensify their efforts to create significant changes in the economic and environmental fields, demonstrated by concrete results in the coming period. Initially, focus should be placed on effectively implementing solutions to achieve and surpass assigned targets.
