Focus on implementing solutions to grow the agricultural and environmental sectors in the last months of the year

Speaking at an online conference to 124 communes and wards on the implementation of agricultural and environmental tasks on the afternoon of October 9, Comrade Chau Van Hoa - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee proposed to focus on implementing solutions to increase growth in the agricultural and environmental sectors in the last months of the year.

The specific target proposed by the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to focus on completing by 2025 for the agriculture and environment sector is to strive for the total production value to reach about 102,000 billion VND by the end of the year, GRDP must reach 43,330 billion VND, the growth rate is 3.27%, contributing to the realization of the province's GRDP growth target of over 8%. To achieve the target, it requires the drastic and synchronous participation of departments, branches and localities.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Chau Van Hoa requested to continue to guide, support, and invest in science and technology, high-tech agriculture, clean agriculture, organic agriculture; develop biosafety and disease-safe livestock farming. At the same time, review, count, and support entities and production households with potential for OCOP products; promote the implementation of the Project of 1 million hectares of high-quality, low-emission rice; review and accelerate the disbursement of assigned State budget capital sources; perform well the task of building new rural areas; strengthen monitoring and timely information on the situation of floods, storms, high tides, landslides to have timely response measures...

Over the past 9 months, agricultural, forestry and fishery production has achieved many positive results. Production linkage models, organic agriculture, and high-tech application have developed, contributing to the formation of concentrated production areas and increasing the value of agricultural products. The work of building new rural areas, OCOP, poverty reduction, population distribution and collective economic development, and cooperatives has achieved many positive results; the management of the environment and resources has been strengthened.

Total production value of the whole industry 9 is estimated at over 74,230 billion VND, reaching 72.77% of the plan, up 3.3% over the same period; GRDP value reached 31,551 billion VND, growth rate reached 2.8%, accounting for 32.11% of the GRDP structure of the whole province.

However, export rice prices tend to decrease, plant and animal diseases still occur sporadically; drought, saltwater intrusion and irrigation infrastructure have not met production needs.
