The delegation presented gifts to the government, agencies and units in Con Dao Special Zone.

During the 3 days, the working group chaired by the Command of Coast Guard Region 3, in coordination with Dong Thap, Vinh Long and Ho Chi Minh City provinces, conducted surveys and grasped the situation of coastal seas and islands from Ho Chi Minh City to Vinh Long province.

Coordinating with local authorities and units inside and outside the army to survey and grasp the situation of coastal sea and island areas is one of the important political tasks of the Coast Guard Region 3 Command. The task of grasping the situation of coastal sea and island areas combined with the tasks of patrolling, inspecting, controlling, and combating IUU fishing is of great significance, aiming to promote and improve coordination, cooperation, and information exchange between the Coast Guard force and the authorities, armed forces, and people of provinces and cities in the sea areas managed by Coast Guard Region 3.

Through surveys and understanding the situation, units and localities will propose measures to further improve the effectiveness of the fight against crimes at sea, reduce violations in the field of combating IUU fishing, which is the basis for promoting many coordinated activities in the coming time. The authorities and armed forces of the two provinces of Dong Thap , Vinh Long and Ho Chi Minh City have grasped the actual situation and activities at sea in their localities to make proposals and advise localities to ensure national security, order and safety at sea, and prevent and combat IUU fishing effectively and practically.

In the sea areas of 3 provinces, cities and Con Dao special zone (Ho Chi Minh City), the working delegation offered flowers and incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at Hang Duong cemetery; presented 143 gifts to the Party Committee, People's Committee, armed forces, policy families, poor fishermen's families and students in difficult circumstances in Con Dao special zone; presented national flags, life jackets and necessities, distributed leaflets, handbooks and propaganda materials to fishermen with a total value of 391 million VND.

The Coast Guard working group and local authorities also inspected, controlled, and disseminated information to 1 cargo ship and 35 Vietnamese fishing boats on compliance with legal regulations on preventing and combating IUU fishing on the ship's route and in fishing port areas and boat anchorages.

During the mission and journey at sea, Ship CSB 8001 and the working group strictly followed the plan, ensuring absolute safety for people and weapons and equipment.
