Continue to manage ships that are not qualified to operate, and grasp the anchorage location of each vehicle. Strengthen inspection and supervision of the implementation of assigned tasks.

Tan Thuy commune has a total of 1,456 fishing boats. Of which, 1,224 are 15m or longer, 133 are 12-15m, and 99 are 6-12m. This is the commune with the largest number of boats in Vinh Long province. Currently, 1,423/1,456 boats are licensed for fishing, 33 boats have not yet/have expired licenses, and 12 fishing boats are under
"3 no" area

According to Mr. Nguyen Huu Hau, in recent times, the commune has promoted propaganda and mobilization in many forms (concentrated propaganda, individual, organized, integrated into meetings, etc.) on the regulations of the Party and State on combating IUU fishing. People's awareness of law compliance has been raised.

The situation of fishing vessel management is under control (from 2024 to now, there have been no violations of illegal fishing and foreign waters being caught). The commune has assigned cadres and party members to be in charge of high-risk vessels to grasp and promptly mobilize vessel owners to comply with legal regulations on fishing.
