Video footage captured by witnesses shows the terrifying moment a tourist boat capsized off the coast of Bali, Indonesia.
It is known that the boat had just left Lembongan village, on Nusa Lembongan island at around 4:30 p.m. on June 4 when a large wave hit the back of the boat. The incident caused water to flood into the boat.
The boat, named Tanis, had just picked up passengers and was en route to Sanur, Bali, on a scheduled 30-minute journey.
The moment the ship tilted to one side and gradually sank (Photo cut from clip).
At this time, there were 89 passengers on board, including 77 foreigners and 12 Indonesians.
Video footage showed witnesses rushing to help those trapped as the ship listed and sank. Some even broke open doors to escape. As the ship tilted, many passengers fell into the sea.
Fortunately, the ship was still close to shore when the incident occurred, so all passengers were safely evacuated at 6:30 p.m. local time. Local authorities recorded no deaths or serious injuries.
Divers continue to examine the sunken ship to ensure no victims are left behind.

After the accident, most of the passengers on the sunken boat chose to stay in Nusa Lembongan. Only 2 tourists continued their journey to Sanur port.
A woman traveling with her husband and two children recounted the terrifying moments as passengers inside the ship tried to escape before it sank.
"Someone broke the windows to escape. Most people returned to shore before the life buoys and life jackets were thrown out. Local people and some small boats nearby came to rescue children and those who escaped first," the guest recalled.

Many of the passengers who escaped jumped into the sea. They swam to a glass-bottomed boat parked nearby and asked for help to get them back to shore.
Currently, the passengers' luggage is still drifting at sea and is being collected by Tanis ship staff.
It is known that the Tanis ship had only been in operation for 3 months before the sinking incident occurred.
