On the morning of October 18, Mr. Do Thanh Long - Director of Hai Dang Nha Trang Maritime Agency Company Limited said that the Coral Princess cruise ship (Bermuda nationality) will dock at Cam Ranh International Port on the morning of October 23 on a voyage along the coast of Vietnam. It is expected that on this trip, the Coral Princess will carry about 2,300 passengers to Khanh Hoa. After docking at Cam Ranh International Port, the tourists will be taken to visit Nha Trang city, countryside tours... The ship will leave in the afternoon of the same day to continue to Hong Kong (China).

Previously, after Nha Trang Port announced that it would stop receiving cruise ship tourists for repairs, many shipping lines canceled trips to Nha Trang. Hai Dang Nha Trang Maritime Agency LLC coordinated with relevant units to discuss and persuade Princess Cruises (under Carnival Corporation & plc, USA) and the shipping line agreed to let the Coral Princess ship arrive at Cam Ranh International Port; after that, the travel agency will take tourists to visit Nha Trang.

In preparation for welcoming ships at Cam Ranh International Port, on October 9, the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued a document requesting Naval Region 4 to support provincial departments, branches and sectors, Tan Cang - Petro Cam Ranh Company Limited and tourism businesses to welcome and serve cruise ship tourists to Cam Ranh International Port conveniently and quickly. Tan Cang - Petro Cam Ranh Company Limited has worked with Naval Region 4 Command to facilitate the pick-up and drop-off of passengers to and from the port; provide free buses to transport passengers (those not on tours) from the port to KN Cam Ranh Tourist Area. The company will also support part of the costs incurred compared to welcoming ships in Nha Trang for travel businesses organizing tours for cruise ship passengers.

Cam Ranh International Port has a total length of 2,147m including 2 wharves that can accommodate passenger ships up to 226,000GT. The port is 5 nautical miles from the international shipping route; the anchorage area in front of the port with an area of ​​303ha is located in the wind-sheltered Binh Ba lagoon, ensuring year-round maritime activities. In the period of 2016 - 2017, Cam Ranh International Port welcomed many large ships such as Legend of The Seas, SuperStar Vigor, Mariner of The Seas, Genting Dream, World Dream... The ships docked at the wharf so there was no need to transfer passengers by tender.
