Spain demolish neighbors Portugal at Euro Women 2025

(NLDO) – World Cup champion Spain defeated Portugal 5-0 in the opening match of Group B of Euro Women 2025 in the early morning of July 4.

The final tournament featured 16 teams, including eight qualifiers (Iceland, Spain, Italy, Denmark, Germany, England, France, Netherlands) and seven play-off winners (Belgium, Finland, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Wales). Switzerland participated as hosts.

Before the Spain-Portugal match, the first three matches took place with the results Iceland-Finland 0-1; Switzerland-Norway 1-2 and Belgium-Italy 0-1.
