These are all dangerous diseases that can spread rapidly and cause significant damage to production if not strictly controlled.
Regarding pig farming, Tay Ninh has 18 farms that have been granted disease-free certificates, including 14 farms meeting safety standards for foot-and-mouth disease, classical swine fever, and African swine fever; 3 farms certified for these diseases plus porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS); and 1 farm certified only for African swine fever.
At the same time, the province has one cattle farm that has been certified as disease-free for foot-and-mouth disease, infectious abortion, and tuberculosis – diseases that negatively impact livestock health and productivity.
According to relevant authorities, developing a network of disease-free zones helps control outbreaks more effectively, improving the quality and value of livestock products.
This also creates favorable conditions for Tay Ninh's livestock products to meet export standards, expand their consumer market, and contribute to ensuring food safety and protecting public health.
