Techcombank (HoSE: TCB), a Vietnamese commercial bank, has just released a report on the results of its share issuance to increase its share capital from equity.
Accordingly, Techcombank has completed the issuance of 3.52 billion common shares with a par value of VND 10,000 per share to existing shareholders at a 100% issuance ratio, with a rights exercise ratio of 1:1 (shareholders owning 1 share receive 1 right to receive shares, and 1 right to receive shares entitles them to receive 1 new share).
The record date for determining shareholders entitled to receive shares to raise capital from equity is June 21st. The ex-dividend date is June 20th.
The shares will be transferred to shareholders in the third quarter of 2024, after the completion of the securities registration amendment at the Vietnam Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation (VSDC) and the registration of additional new shares for trading at HOSE.
Following the issuance, the total number of outstanding shares of Techcombank increased from 3.5 billion shares to 7.05 billion shares, corresponding to an increase in charter capital of VND 35,225 billion to nearly VND 70,500 billion.
Thus, from its previous position at 9th, Techcombank's charter capital has now risen to 2nd place among the 28 commercial banks, surpassing the three major state-owned commercial banks: Vietcombank, VietinBank, and BIDV .
Previously, the State Securities Commission also issued a document notifying that it had received all the necessary documents for Techcombank's share issuance report.
On June 5th, Techcombank also implemented a plan to pay cash dividends to existing shareholders at a rate of 15% per share (shareholders owning one share will receive 1,500 VND). It is estimated that Techcombank will spend 5,283 billion VND on cash dividend payments.
On the market, during the morning trading session on June 28th, Techcombank shares were trading at 23,350 VND per share, down 0.43% from the previous session, with a trading volume of nearly 1 million units .
