"Thanh Hoa Province's Tet Scholarship Program" - Spring of the Year of the Snake 2025

On the evening of February 2nd (the 5th day of the first lunar month), the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning (HKH) collaborated with the Provincial Radio and Television Station to organize the "Tet for the Promotion of Learning in Thanh Hoa" program; awarding scholarships to students from disadvantaged backgrounds who have excelled academically; presenting awards to outstanding creative workers; and launching the movement "The whole country competes to build a learning society and promote lifelong learning in the period 2023-2030".

Provincial leaders and delegates attended the "Thanh Hoa Province Education Promotion Tet Program" in the Spring of the Year of the Snake 2025.

Attending the event were: Comrade Nguyen Doan Anh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Comrade Lai The Nguyen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; Comrades Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Comrade Dao Xuan Yen, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Comrade Dau Thanh Tung, Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of the Thanh Hoa Hometown Association in Hanoi ; leaders of provincial departments and agencies; representatives of the Associations of the Hometown Association of districts, towns, and cities; representatives of businesses, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and a large number of outstanding students, workers, and employees.

The "Tet Scholarship Program" is the opening activity for a series of scholarship and talent promotion activities in 2025, aiming to further promote the scholarship and talent promotion movement throughout the province. It calls on the entire society, especially Thanh Hoa natives working in all parts of the country and overseas Vietnamese, to care for the scholarship and talent development of their home province.

Comrades Nguyen Doan Anh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Lai The Nguyen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, and Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies, presented awards to cadres and teachers recognized as Associate Professors and workers who received the Creative Labor Award.

"Tet for Promoting Education" is an occasion to honor the contributions of organizations and individuals to the cause of education and the promotion of learning in the province, and to the development of the homeland; to reward and encourage students who overcome difficulties to excel in their studies, students who achieve outstanding results in learning and training, and exemplary creative workers.

This is also an opportunity for those involved in promoting education, organizations and individuals who have made significant contributions to science and technology activities, students who have overcome difficulties and strived for success, and outstanding workers to interact, share their experiences, thoughts, and aspirations, and demonstrate their determination to work together for the development of their homeland and country.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dau Thanh Tung highlighted the achievements in socio-economic development, education, science, and technology in the province in 2024. He also emphasized the role and significance of the "Tet Education Promotion" activities; acknowledging, commending, and congratulating the achievements of the Education Promotion Associations at all levels in recent years.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that Party committees, government agencies, political and social organizations, and professional associations continue to pay attention to leading, directing, and creating favorable conditions for the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning to effectively implement its assigned tasks. The Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning to continue to play a core role, proactively and actively coordinating with the education sector and relevant agencies and units to advise Party committees and government agencies on effectively implementing the Party and State's policies on science and technology, and building a learning society.

At the same time, we call upon all levels, sectors, organizations, socio-economic organizations, businesses, entrepreneurs, Thanh Hoa natives living and working throughout the country and abroad, and all ethnic groups in the province, with affection and responsibility, to continue to actively contribute to the movement of building a learning society, lifelong learning, and developing learning models in the province; to build a sustainable science and technology development fund with a large base fund to increase resources to practically encourage and support all talents at all levels and fields of study, across all regions of the province.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his wish that every teacher would continuously uphold the spirit of cultivating virtue and talent, be dedicated, love their profession and love their students; constantly learn and improve their professional skills; actively apply science and technology; and always maintain an open, dynamic, creative, and flexible perspective on new approaches in teaching and learning, bringing a new vitality and high persuasive power to each lesson, all for the sake of their beloved students and the noble cause of education.

Students understand the affection, sacrifice, and dedication of their teachers, the care and attention of the Party committee, government, the Association of Teachers, philanthropists, and the community, and strive even harder in their studies, cultivating virtue and talent, for a better future, to build a successful career, and to contribute significantly to the development and prosperity of their homeland and country.

Comrade Lai The Nguyen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, and representatives of the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning presented flowers to thank the units and businesses that supported the scholarship fund.

In keeping with the spirit of the "Tet Scholarship" campaign and the call from the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, at the ceremony, representatives of the Provincial Scholarship Association received donations from many businesses and philanthropists for the provincial scholarship fund totaling nearly 6 billion VND. Mr. Lai The Nguyen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, presented flowers to thank the units and businesses that supported the scholarship fund.

Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department and Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, and Dao Xuan Yen, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, presented awards to officials and workers who received the Creative Labor Certificate.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dau Thanh Tung and Director of the Department of Education and Training Tran Van Thuc presented the Le Kha Phieu scholarship fund to high school and university students.

Representatives of the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology presented the Lam Son Science and Technology Fund and the "Nâng Cánh Ước Mơ" (Wings of Dreams) Scholarship Fund to high school and university students.

At the ceremony, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Doan Anh and Standing Deputy Provincial Party Secretary, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Lai The Nguyen, along with other provincial leaders and the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology, presented awards to two officials and educators recognized by the State Council for Professor Titles as Associate Professors; awarded 36 officials, workers, and laborers with "Creative Labor Certificates" from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; and awarded scholarships from the Le Kha Phieu Science and Technology Fund, the "Nurturing Dreams" Scholarship Fund, and the Lam Son Science and Technology Fund to underprivileged students who excelled academically. The Provincial Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology announced the amount of scholarship and reward support for disadvantaged students in 2025 in the province to the Associations for the Promotion of Science and Technology in districts, towns, cities, and units throughout the province.
