On March 9, the delegation of Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport (UTH) led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Phuong - Rector as head of the delegation, along with Vice Rectors, Deans, Directors of Centers, Deans and lecturers of the school visited and worked at THACO Chu Lai Industrial Park. Welcoming the delegation were Mr. Bui Minh Truc - General Director of THILOGI, Mr. Doan Dat Ninh - Deputy General Director of THACO AUTO in charge of Production, Mr. Bui Tran Nhan Tri - Director of THACO Chu Lai Office.
The delegation listened to an introduction about the development process of THACO and THACO Chu Lai, learned about the production and business fields and visited the Chu Lai - Truong Hai Port and Logistics Industrial Park.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed the results achieved since the signing of the cooperation agreement on human resource training, recruitment, scientific research and technology transfer, and equipment funding (June 21, 2022) to date. In 2024, THACO and UTH will focus on cooperation in the following areas: Deploying scientific research topics; THACO will send consultants, receive and transfer UTH's research results to apply in production and business practices.
In addition, representatives of THACO and UTH's Board of Directors discussed in detail the needs for scientific research and cooperation in the fields of: Automobiles, Auto Mechanics, Logistics, and Maritime Transport Economics . Accordingly, in the fields of Automobiles and Auto Mechanics, THACO proposed technological needs ; proposed topics and products to be developed for joint research with UTH.
In the field of Logistics , production and business activities are increasingly expanding, the demand for high-quality human resources is very large. THACO will receive interns, participate in seminars, career guidance, thesis defense sessions, and recruit students after graduation. At the same time , UTH will cooperate in short-term training on specialized topics in logistics, supply chain management, international relations, and improve professional knowledge for the company's existing staff; at the same time, introduce candidates and graduates to apply for jobs at THACO.
In addition, the representative of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport presented a draft project to establish the THACO Research and Training Center at the University. The operation of the Center will contribute to improving the quality of training, providing quality human resources for THACO; promoting scientific research, development, application of new technology and technology transfer; organizing scientific conferences and seminars ; implementing experiments and trial production of products.
Speaking at the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Xuan Phuong - Rector of UTH wishes to cooperate and coordinate with THACO to develop a detailed plan to soon realize the project , with the goal of making THACO Research - Training Center become the leading training, research and technology transfer unit in the country in the fields of Mechanics , Automobiles , Automation , Logistics , thereby meeting THACO's development strategy in the new period.
