The Bangkok Post reported on July 15 that Thailand's National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) has agreed to set up a panel to investigate whether Culture Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, who is suspended from his post as Prime Minister , seriously violated public ethics standards related to a leaked phone call with Cambodian Senate President Hun Sen.

According to Isra News Agency , the investigation panel will include NACC Chairman Suchart Trakulkasemsuk and Commissioner Prapas Kong-ied. After the investigation is completed, the findings will be submitted to the NACC for a final decision.
Minister Paetongtarn may have to appear in court if there is evidence that she has seriously violated public ethics.
Previously, on July 1, the Thai Constitutional Court decided to suspend Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra from office pending consideration of a lawsuit requesting her removal.
The Constitutional Court has accepted a petition from 36 senators asking them to investigate a leaked recording of a phone conversation between Paetongtarn and Senate President Hun Sen last month, and to remove her from office as prime minister, the court said in a statement.
