Visiting families of traffic accident victims in Lang Son

On the afternoon of October 31, representatives of the Traffic Safety Committee of Quang Ninh province visited and encouraged the families of the victims of the particularly serious traffic accident that occurred in the early morning of October 31, at Rung Cam slope, Huu Lung district, Lang Son province on National Highway 1A Huu Lung, Lang Son province.

At the families, representatives of the Traffic Safety Committee of Quang Ninh province sent condolences from the provincial leaders to the relatives of the victims in the unfortunate incident in Lang Son. At the same time, they shared and encouraged the families and relatives of the victims to overcome the pain and move forward in life. They requested that authorities at all levels continue to care for and help the families overcome difficulties and losses and take care of the funeral.

For the deceased victims, the Quang Ninh Provincial Traffic Safety Committee will provide immediate support of VND5 million per person. At the same time, it will support each injured victim with VND2 million. Previously, the National Traffic Safety Committee sent VND5 million to the families of each deceased victim and VND2 million to each injured person.

As Nguoi Dua Tin reported, at around 2:10 a.m. this morning, at Rung Cam slope, Huu Lung district, Lang Son province, a 16-seat passenger car with license plate number 14B-036.57 crashed into the back of a semi-trailer with a broken engine that was stopped on the right side of the road in the direction of Lang Son - Hanoi, then collided with a container truck going in the opposite direction in the left lane.

The accident killed 4 people on the spot, 1 person died on the way to the emergency room, and 11 others were injured. The victims and injured were all from Quang Ninh. The accident happened on a steep curve, in the dark, with limited visibility.

The bus involved in the accident was a contract bus carrying passengers from Quang Ninh to Lang Son on the way back. The bus's inspection was valid until August 2024. The bus had a full contract and passenger list. The driver passed a quick test and had no alcohol or drug use .
