Comrade Ly Van Quyen, Secretary of the Party Committee of An Son sub-district, said: The locality is promoting the development of marine economy, tourism and services; the lives of the people are increasingly improving. The forces stationed on the island always play a core role in ensuring national defense and security, maintaining peace for the people and supporting fishermen to go out to sea and maintain their livelihoods.
"The attention from central and local agencies and delegations is a source of encouragement that helps cadres, soldiers, and people on the island feel secure in their work, labor, and production," Comrade Ly Van Quyen emphasized.
Major General Tran Van Xuan, Deputy Political Commissar of the Vietnam Coast Guard, encouraged officers and soldiers to continue to successfully complete their assigned tasks.
Speaking at the working session, Major General Tran Van Xuan, Deputy Political Commissar of the Vietnam Coast Guard, acknowledged and commended the sense of responsibility and efforts of the units and armed forces performing duties on the Nam Du archipelago. The Major General highly appreciated the proactive coordination among forces in managing and protecting maritime sovereignty, maintaining political security and social order, and supporting the people in developing the marine economy.
“The Nam Du archipelago holds a particularly important position in terms of national defense, security, and marine economic development. The forces need to continue to uphold the spirit of solidarity, overcome difficulties, proactively grasp the situation, and build a solid national defense posture linked to a people's security posture; while also paying attention to the well-being of the people, contributing to the increasingly developed and stable development of the southwestern sea and islands region,” Major General Tran Van Xuan emphasized.

Bringing heartfelt sentiments from the mainland to the remote islands, the delegation presented gifts to 8 units and armed forces, along with 11 families receiving preferential treatment and 40 students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Although the gifts may not be of great material value, they demonstrate the affection, responsibility, and concern of all levels and sectors, reinforcing confidence and creating motivation for the military and people on the Nam Du archipelago to stand firm in the face of harsh conditions, protecting the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland's sea and islands.
