Joining the delegation were Major General Nguyen Van Dung, Political Commissar of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command; and representatives from central agencies, Can Tho city, An Giang province, and Ca Mau province.

The Ca Mau provincial delegation was led by Comrade Tran Huu Phuoc, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Internal Affairs Committee.

The forces on the island welcomed the visiting delegation.

The Nam Du archipelago is located in the southwestern sea, about 90 km by sea from the mainland of Rach Gia. It is the furthest archipelago of the Kien Hai special zone, comprising 21 islands of varying sizes, 11 of which are inhabited.

Nam Du is blessed with a diverse marine ecosystem, many beautiful, pristine beaches, and well-preserved primary forests .

Currently, the Nam Du archipelago is home to several military units tasked with protecting sovereignty and maintaining security and order in the southwestern sea and islands, including: Nam Du Border Guard Post, Bai Tret Border Control Station, Naval Radar Station 600, An Son Local Police Team, An Son Self-Defense Militia Squad, Nam Du Local Police Team, Nam Du Self-Defense Militia Squad, Hon Ngang Border Control Station, and Hon Mau Border Control Team.
