Along with the happiness of couples, Valentine's Day is also the time when singles are confident that "it's still fun to be in love! I'm not alone. Just sit still, love will come!".

Lost 0-1, lonely Valentine's Day this year , sad?

“It’s so sad!” That was the answer of Diem Phuong (20 years old, living in Ho Chi Minh City) last year when Valentine’s Day came and she was still single.

“Thinking back, I probably had FOMO (fear of missing out) at that time. Seeing everyone going out with their lovers and receiving Valentine’s gifts, I felt a bit sad. But not now because I’m “dating” myself!”, Diem Phuong laughed.

Sharing the same thought of not feeling pressured when Valentine's Day comes even though single, Le Diem (21 years old, in Hue City) said instead of worrying about love, why not enjoy the journey of self-development, discover new things and take advantage of the opportunity to become the best version of yourself.

“On Valentine's Day, I usually ask my friends to go to the movies, eat out or buy something I like,” Diem said.

Similarly, Nguyen Minh Tien (21 years old, in Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai ) said Valentine's Day is not limited to love between couples. For Tien, this is an opportunity to love himself or enjoy time with friends and family.

Instead of feeling lonely, Minh Tien will cook a meal for himself, gather friends to chat or participate in charity activities to help others.

“These activities not only bring joy but also create a warm feeling. Although each year may be a little different, the goal is still to enjoy the moments fully and meaningfully,” Minh Tien shared.

Fate, right person, right time then love

Thao Nhi believes in fate because if it is meant to be, we will meet. Nhi says love is not only a part of life but also an important thing in life.

"When I feel the same thoughts, share common points and create understanding and closeness with someone, I believe that is the right time to escape loneliness," Nhi shared.

As for Diem Phuong, she believes in both fate and “right person, right time”. Who knows, maybe she might not be ready but suddenly fall in love at first sight and not have time to react!

Le Diem believes that fate helped her meet the right person, but a lasting relationship requires understanding and effort from both parties. “I believe that when you are ready and fate comes, love will naturally appear in the best way,” Diem said.

Minh Tien also believes that fate is an interesting factor in life but does not necessarily determine everything. Because a relationship is only strong when there is understanding, effort and comes at the right time.

No gift, no flowers, no problem

For Thao Nhi, she chose the “self-love Valentine” trend on this holiday. This is an opportunity for you to take care of yourself, improve yourself and enjoy relaxing moments.

This trend also helps Le Diem see Valentine's Day as not only a day for couples but also a time to cherish and love yourself.

Instead of putting pressure on finding love, people can enjoy this day by taking care of themselves, doing things that make them happy such as going out, reading, traveling or simply spending time on personal hobbies.
