According to the assessment of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the rice yield of the whole province in this spring crop is expected to reach an average of 67.5 to 68 quintals/ha, an increase of 0.5 to 1 quintal/ha over the same period. In particular, in key rice districts in the delta, the yield is over 70 quintals/ha, in mountainous districts the yield is from 60 to 63 quintals/ha. Along with harvesting rice and spring crops, farmers are clearing land, sowing seedlings, and preparing conditions for seeds, fertilizers, and irrigation water for the Summer-Autumn crop.

According to the direction of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, in order to produce the Summer-Autumn crop according to the crop calendar, localities need to urgently harvest ripe rice and Spring crops, effectively respond to and overcome negative impacts of the weather; localities need to properly manage the operation of harvesting machines in the area; clear the canal system to drain water, minimizing damage when storms and floods affect Spring crops.
