The total rice cultivation area in the 2023-2024 spring crop is 114,265 hectares, an increase of 570 hectares over the same period. Thanks to proactive production conditions, reasonable arrangement of varieties and cropping patterns, proactive plant protection work, and increasingly high levels of intensive farming, the rice plants have grown and developed stably in this spring crop. Some areas that were damaged by storms on May 2 and 3 have been repaired.

According to the direction of the agricultural sector, from now until the end of the season, local farmers need to regularly check and visit the fields, detect early pests that arise in the final stage of the season for timely prevention and control. Note: Rice blast, various types of planthoppers, two-spotted stem borers, leaf blight, bacterial stripe spots and harmful rats. At the same time, organize the quick harvest of rice and other crops that are ready for harvest, creating conditions to free up land for the Autumn-Winter crop production in the best time frame. According to the assessment, this year's spring rice crop will have a high yield, with an expected yield of 67.5-68 quintals/ha.
