Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee has just issued a decision to establish Lam Dong Provincial Population Office on the basis of merging the existing Population Office under Dak Nong Provincial Department of Health, the population department under the Population and Social Work Office under Binh Thuan Provincial Department of Health and Lam Dong Provincial Population Office.

The Department of Population is an organization under the Department of Health of Lam Dong province, with the function of advising and assisting the Department of Health in State management of population work, including the following areas: Population size, population structure, population quality, family planning and health care for the elderly in the community; directing and organizing the implementation of professional and technical activities on population in the province.

The Lam Dong Provincial Population Office (new) receives all personnel, finances, assets, equipment, documents, and records in their original state; all functions and tasks of the Population Division under the Dak Nong Provincial Department of Health, the population division under the Population and Social Work Division under the Binh Thuan Provincial Department of Health, and the Lam Dong Provincial Population Office; arranges and assigns civil servants and labor resources of the Lam Dong Provincial Population Office (new) according to the delegated authority; continues to manage and use finances, assets, documents, and records according to regulations; continues to implement tasks in accordance with current regulations.
