The Binh Thuan Provincial Cooperative Union recently held a conference to establish the Binh Thuan Sustainable Production and Consumption Ecosystem Cooperative. Mr. Phan Dinh Khiem, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Cooperative Union, attended the conference.
The Binh Thuan Sustainable Production and Consumption Ecosystem Cooperative was established with the goal of supporting dragon fruit producers and growers in accessing markets, aiming for safe production, environmental protection, and sustainable development in Binh Thuan. From there, it contributes to spreading the positive values of clean and circular agriculture , creating value chains based on cooperation and mutual development among its members.
The cooperative was established with 31 members and a charter capital of 212 million VND. The cooperative will provide basic services to its members such as: planting and selling agricultural products, focusing on dragon fruit and foodstuffs; supplying agricultural production materials: fertilizers, pesticides, seeds, seedlings, etc. The establishment of the cooperative will contribute to increasing the value of Binh Thuan dragon fruit, creating a sustainable production and consumption ecosystem.
At the conference, members unanimously approved the charter, the business plan, and the list of cooperative members. Simultaneously, delegates elected a five-member Board of Directors and a three-member Supervisory Board. Ms. Diep Thi My Hao was elected Chairperson of the Board of Directors, Ms. Nguyen Hoang Van as General Director of the Cooperative, and Ms. Tran Thi Ninh as Head of the Supervisory Board.
