Thanh Mai urgently evacuated 7 households from areas at high risk of landslides.

On the afternoon of July 21, due to the complicated developments of storm No. 3, the authorities of Thanh Mai commune, Thai Nguyen province organized an emergency evacuation of households living in areas at high risk of landslides to a safe place.

According to statistics, there are 7 households in Khau Tong and Khau Rang villages living in areas at high risk of landslides and need to be urgently evacuated. Temporary shelters are arranged at the Mai Lap Commune Health Station (old), Mai Lap Kindergarten (old), Khau Rang Village Cultural House and at relatives' houses.

Thanh Mai Commune People's Committee requires households to strictly comply with the evacuation order and absolutely not return or stay in dangerous areas without notice from local authorities.

To ensure safety during the evacuation, functional forces were mobilized to assist people in clearing their belongings and transporting people and belongings out of the danger zone. The commune police were assigned to organize forces to be on duty at evacuation points to ensure security and order.

Thanh Mai Commune People's Committee also requested the Commune Military Command, mass organizations and specialized departments to coordinate in fully preparing facilities and essential supplies for evacuation points. At the same time, deploy plans to protect dams, ensure traffic, protect agricultural production and people's property in bad weather conditions.
