Tam Diep City held a rally in response to the 2023 Drug Prevention Action Month

On June 19, at the Viet Xo College of Electromechanics and Construction, the People's Committee of Tam Diep City held a rally to respond to the 2023 Drug Prevention and Control Action Month with the theme "Resolute and effective drug prevention and control, enhancing responsibility, proactive coordination - For a drug-free community".

According to statistics, as of June 2023, there were about 76 drug addicts in Tam Diep city. In recent times, implementing the direction of superiors, the coordination of functional forces and especially the consensus and active participation of all classes of people; the city police force has synchronously deployed professional measures to prevent and fight against drug crimes and achieved positive results. Do not allow the formation of complex hotspots, drug trafficking and illegal transportation lines.

However, it is forecasted that in the coming time, the situation of drug prevention and control law violations will have many complicated developments. There are many new types of drugs on the market that are easy to use, and users are not fully aware of the consequences and harms. Drug crimes are increasingly sophisticated and reckless; the relapse rate tends to increase. Therefore, in order to achieve high results in drug prevention and control, the city will focus on groups of solutions such as: Actively propagating, raising awareness and actions of the community on drug prevention and control; helping drug addicts after rehabilitation, creating jobs, reintegrating into the community; strengthening the management of addicts and local management; each organization needs to develop a practical program on drug prevention and control and helping drug addicts; linking drug prevention and control with the campaign "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas"; Effectively implement joint resolutions between the Ministry of Public Security and mass organizations in educational management, reforming wrongdoers in the community and the campaign to build agencies, units, schools, residential areas, and neighborhood groups that are safe in terms of security and order, and free of drug abuse...

At the rally, representatives of agencies, organizations, units and schools in the city expressed their determination to actively participate in coordinating the implementation of drug prevention and control work, contributing to building a healthy environment and civilized urban areas.
