Inspecting 895 projects at central and local ministries and branches

(Chinhphu.vn) – The Government Inspectorate will inspect 145 projects belonging to central ministries, branches, and large corporations and groups; and inspect 750 projects with a total investment of VND30 billion or more in a number of localities.

According to the Government Inspectorate, the Thematic Inspection Plan No. 1505/KH-TTCP dated July 22, 2025 was developed on the basis of implementing the Prime Minister 's conclusion at the Conference on July 17, 2025.

The Government Inspectorate has determined to conduct a large-scale thematic inspection to promptly clarify the causes of problems and backlogs in public investment work. It has assessed the effectiveness of projects that are behind schedule, prolonged, large-scale, complicated, or have signs of causing waste and loss of state resources.

Accordingly, the Government Inspectorate will directly inspect 145 projects under central ministries and branches such as the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, Ministry of Construction, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Education and Training, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture - Sports and Tourism... and large corporations and groups.

The inspection plan in provinces and cities will be implemented with 750 projects with a total investment of 30 billion VND/project or more such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Nghe An, Quang Ngai, Thai Nguyen, Gia Lai, Lao Cai, Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak, Quang Tri, Bac Ninh...

The inspection period will start from July 2025 and end by the end of September 2025 at the latest. The duration of each inspection conducted by the Government Inspectorate shall not exceed 45 days; for the Inspectorate of the Ministry of National Defense and localities, it shall not exceed 30 days.

Agencies and units are responsible for issuing inspection conclusions before September 15-25, 2025, sending reports on results to the Government Inspectorate before September 20 for synthesis and submission to the Prime Minister before October 1, 2025.
