According to Wccftech , at CES 2025 (USA), Nvidia officially announced the new generation of RTX 50 Series graphics cards, including four versions: RTX 5090, RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070. This is the first time Nvidia has applied the Blackwell architecture to commercial products, bringing major improvements in performance, memory and processing capabilities.

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang introduces RTX 50 series GPU specifications at CES 2025

The RTX 5090 is equipped with a Blackwell GB202-300-A1 GPU with 21,760 CUDA cores, surpassing the 20,000 core mark for the first time in GeForce history. This GPU uses 170 SMs (Streaming Multiprocessors), down 11.4% from the full configuration. However, thanks to the optimized architecture, the RTX 5090 still delivers double the performance of the RTX 4090 in some tests. The product's 32GB GDDR7 memory operates on a 512-bit interface, clocked at 28Gbps, for a bandwidth of up to 1,792GB/s.

In addition, the RTX 5090 uses a compact dual-slot design with a new 3D vapor chamber cooling system and an ultra-compact 14-layer PCB. Despite its high power consumption of up to 575W, the graphics card maintains a compact size that fits in standard desktop PCs. NVIDIA prices the RTX 5090 starting at $1,999, with an official release date of January 30, 2025.

The price from 549 USD for the RTX 5070 version will certainly be a topic of interest in the technology community in the coming days.

In addition to the RTX 5090, NVIDIA also introduced the RTX 5080, the second-highest version in the RTX 50 series. This GPU uses the Blackwell GB203-400 with 10,752 CUDA cores, 16 GB of GDDR7 memory, and a 256-bit interface. It is the only product in the RTX 50 series to support 30 Gbps memory speeds, providing 960 GB/s of bandwidth. The RTX 5080 has a power consumption of 360W, about 40W higher than the RTX 4080. The product will be sold for $ 999, launching on the same day as the RTX 5090.

The RTX 5070 is the most affordable version of the RTX 50 series, aimed at mainstream users. Its GB205-300 GPU has 6,144 CUDA cores and 12 GB of GDDR7 memory, operating on a 192-bit interface. With a memory speed of 28 Gbps, the RTX 5070 reaches a bandwidth of 672 GB/s and consumes 250W of power. The price of the product is 549 USD, released at the same time as the RTX 5070 Ti.

Notably, NVIDIA focused on improving cooling and optimizing space for the Founders Edition versions. A new PCB design with backdrill technology and a 3D Vapor Chamber cooling system helps increase cooling efficiency while maintaining a compact size. This is especially important for the RTX 5090, which consumes high power and requires stable performance over long periods of time.

The RTX 50 Series will officially reach users from early 2025, with the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 launching on January 30, followed by the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070 in February. With outstanding performance, advanced technology, and a wide range of price options, this generation of graphics cards is creating a new milestone for NVIDIA in the global GPU market.
