On September 22nd, Ms. Nguyen Hoai Thuy Hang, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Hau Giang province, reported on a fight between female students at Chau Van Liem Secondary School (Ward 4, Vi Thanh City, Hau Giang province).

Previously, a video surfaced on social media showing a female student being "ganged up on" by a group of classmates in a park in a residential area of Vi Tan commune, Vi Thanh city. The video was then sent to the leaders of the Education and Training Department of Vi Thanh city.

Student D. clutched her head as a classmate hit her with a helmet.

The principal of Chau Van Liem Secondary School confirmed that the victim was CTMD (class 7A5), while the group of three female students who assaulted her were TTNH (class 7A7), NGH (class 7A5, both from Chau Van Liem Secondary School), and HHN (14 years old, from outside the school).

The report from Chau Van Liem Secondary School to the Hau Giang Department of Education and Training also revealed that just one day after assaulting D., this group of female students organized another assault on a female student from the same school, but with a different location. It was from this incident that the school discovered that D. had been assaulted.

Accordingly, at approximately 2 PM on September 17th, Chau Van Liem Secondary School received information that student TTBT (class 7A7) had been assaulted by the aforementioned group of three female students at Cat Tuong Park (Ward 5, Vi Thanh City). Upon learning of the incident, the homeroom teacher summoned the students for questioning, reprimanded them, and requested them to write self-criticism reports. From this, the school learned that this group had assaulted student D. at a park in Vi Tan commune the previous day (September 16th). The cause stemmed from a conflict on social media.

On September 18th, the school invited the parents of both the students who were beaten and those who assaulted them to a mediation session to agree on a solution. However, upon returning home, the parents of student D. saw a video of their child being beaten and reported the incident to the police in Ward 4, Vi Thanh City.

By noon on September 18th, D. felt a headache, and her family took her to Hau Giang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital. Upon examination, D. was found to have only soft tissue injuries to her hand and neck. The family continued to monitor her until the morning of September 19th, when a CT scan was performed. Meanwhile, T. also had an X-ray, and the results showed only minor soft tissue injuries, so she was able to attend school as usual.

The Director of the Hau Giang Department of Education and Training stated that the department has instructed the Vi Thanh City Department of Education and Training and Chau Van Liem Secondary School to visit the hospital and families of the two female students who were assaulted. At the same time, they are coordinating with relevant authorities to take appropriate action against the students who assaulted their classmates; and have directed educational institutions throughout the province to take measures to prevent similar incidents from occurring.
