Enhance life skills activities.
Le Do Secondary School (An Hai Ward) has just organized a flag-raising activity called "Teenage Problem Solving" with the participation of experts and consultants, attracting the attention of students of all grades. Ms. Pham Thi Hoa, Principal of the school, said that through games and puzzles, students participated very enthusiastically, they were able to share and interact with psychological experts about the content related to school counseling, and were introduced to the activities of the school counseling room.
Ms. Hoa said that although the students are still young, they have many concerns about study pressure, peer relationships, love, etc. To support and listen to them, the school has a school counseling room, established a counseling team with the participation of homeroom teachers and psychology experts who are lecturers of the University of Education ( Da Nang University). Every month, the homeroom teacher will send a schedule for students to register and someone will support them every Monday and Friday.

Similarly, Tran Quy Cap Secondary School (Cam Le Ward) organizes propaganda activities to raise awareness among students about forms of violence and child abuse, thereby knowing how to protect themselves and support friends when in danger. Or Nguyen Phu Huong Secondary School (Hoa Tien Commune) has a life skills education program with the topic "Gratitude" for all students of the school. Notably, through the emotional sharing of Mr. Ngo Ngoc Hoang Vuong, Principal of Ngu Hanh Son High School, helped students understand that gratitude is not just a normal thank you but also an attitude in life, a way to appreciate every little good thing that exists around them...
Listen to understand students
In high school, through the first-of-the-week activities or career orientation and experiential activities, schools will integrate activities and lessons on school education for students. Mr. Le Thanh Son, Secretary of the Youth Union of Lien Chieu High School (Hai Van Ward) said that it is very necessary to promote skills, behavior, integration, and emotional control to students. Therefore, school counseling work needs to be carried out regularly, in all departments, integrated interdisciplinary or integrated into the activities of the school's psychological counseling team. At the beginning of the school year, the school established a student psychological counseling team with the participation of the principal, the school's youth union, subject teachers, and the team is responsible for grasping public opinion and information from students to have timely prevention and handling activities or help students adjust their inappropriate behaviors...

Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Loan, Vice Principal of Nguyen Hue Secondary School (Hai Chau Ward) said that at puberty, students have many psychological and physiological changes. They are often confused by changes in their bodies, easily irritable, sensitive or want to assert themselves but lack the skills to control their emotions. They are curious about friendship, love, and sex but are not always willing to share with their parents or teachers. Therefore, at this age, they really need the companionship of adults, the most important role of which is from the family. Next is the companionship of the school with appropriate educational programs.
According to Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Nhung, lecturer of the Faculty of Educational Psychology - Social Work, University of Education (University of Danang), students often face many difficulties in the transition stages such as from preschool to primary school, primary school to secondary school or the 10th grade admission stage. The change in environment, learning methods and pressure to achieve results can easily make them anxious and stressed. During puberty, psychological changes also cause students' behavior and emotions to change dramatically, easily leading to conflicts, school violence or withdrawal, less communication. Therefore, schools need to play a preventive role, equipping students with skills, knowledge, and awareness through class meetings, flag salutes, and extracurricular activities. However, at this age, just equipping is not enough, students need to participate and experience reality, through practical activities of clubs, simulated situations to practice coping skills.

Each school also needs a school counseling room to accompany and support students when they have psychological problems. Schools need to promote so that students understand when to seek counseling, at the same time equipping them with skills to improve their mental health and know how to protect themselves from risks. When detecting signs of instability, teachers can provide emergency support, helping students overcome difficulties in time. The most important thing is to build an environment of listening and sharing.
Teachers not only listen with their ears but also with their understanding of students’ feelings and aspirations. Teachers also need to be trained in listening skills and identifying the cause of the problem so that students feel safe when sharing. When the school, family and society work together, students will have a solid spiritual foundation for comprehensive development.
