“Child-centered” in preschool

Despite difficult conditions, lack of facilities, and separate schools more than 20km apart, Nam Giang Kindergarten (Nam Giang commune) always seeks to innovate teaching methods. Ms. Zo Ram Kien, Principal of Nam Giang Kindergarten, said that in addition to imparting knowledge, the school always creates an environment for children to participate in experiential playgrounds suitable to regional characteristics such as: wrapping croissant cakes; cooking bamboo rice; practicing traditional weaving and brocade weaving. Thereby, children are equipped with knowledge, practice life skills, and contribute to preserving the cultural values of their origins.

Given that 100% of the students at the school are from the Co Tu, Ve, and Ta Rieng ethnic minority groups, the children have limited communication skills and little exposure to the outside world . Therefore, the professional team proactively develops plans and selects flexible and creative activities suitable for each age group.

Recently, the thematic activity "Discovering Science - The Diversity of Taste" for the senior kindergarten class at Huong Sen Kindergarten (Nong Son commune) created excitement for students. Ms. Nguyen Thu Quyen, Vice Principal of Huong Sen Kindergarten shared that the lesson helps children develop language, the ability to express themselves in front of a crowd, and experience daily practical activities. At the same time, children know how to preserve and take care of their bodies and senses, and facial expressions when tasting different flavors, thereby absorbing knowledge naturally.

At preschools in Da Nang city, in addition to imparting knowledge, schools are gradually building safe schools, happy schools by taking children as the center. "Every day at school is a happy day" is the slogan and also the goal that Hoa Mai Kindergarten (Que Phuoc commune) aims for to build a safe, healthy and friendly educational environment. The reading corner gives children the opportunity to interact with books and images... From this creative work, the classroom space is less monotonous, students absorb knowledge effectively and stimulate the creative development, aesthetic ability and intelligence of preschool children, at the same time opening up interesting discoveries.

Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Tram, Vice Principal of Hoa Mai Kindergarten (Que Phuoc Commune) said that right from the beginning of each school year, the school builds the criteria of a safe and happy school to implement, assigns tasks clearly, has a long-term roadmap, and a scientific and methodical process. This is a measure of the school's quality and reputation. "In particular, in educational activities, the teaching staff must be attentive, close, and loving to take care of children, creating for them the feeling of "teachers like gentle mothers". Absolutely do not use any form of punishment that affects the physical and mental health of children," said Ms. Tram.
