Nghe An Department of Education and Training opens the Provincial Excellent Teacher Competition at preschool level

GD&TĐ - On the morning of December 8, the Department of Education and Training of Nghe An province held the opening ceremony of the Provincial Excellent Preschool Teacher Competition 2025, with 362 participants.

This is a competition held every four years with the purpose of discovering, recognizing and honoring teachers who have achieved the title of excellent teachers. From there, we will replicate advanced models, contributing to attracting the attention of social forces involved in child care and education , creating motivation for the development of the education career of each locality and the whole industry.

In 2025 alone, the competition was held for the first time after the local government was divided into two levels, gathering 362 teachers from 130 communes and wards in the whole province. These are excellent teachers selected from the grassroots, meeting professional standards according to regulations and having been recognized as excellent teachers at the district level (old) in the school years 2023-2024, 2024-2025.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa - Deputy Director of Nghe An Department of Education and Training said that this was the first year of implementing the 2-level local government, but the contest attracted the largest number of teachers ever. In addition to teachers from favorable areas, there were many teachers from remote, isolated and disadvantaged communes and for the first time, there was a male teacher participating in the contest.

The Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Nghe An emphasized that the provincial competition for excellent teachers is an opportunity to improve professional skills and knowledge.

In the context of innovation in preschool education, teachers must approach new things to stimulate and develop children's potential, nurture their personalities, and form virtues such as honesty, sincerity, and love right from when they are in preschool. Teaching must be associated with increasing outside experiences to give children confidence and boldness.

In addition, innovation in preschool education must promote digital transformation, focusing on digital platforms, digital environments, and applying software, lessons, and digital learning materials to implement activities for children.

From this contest, the organizers also hope to motivate teachers to strive, improve their qualifications and capacity to meet the requirements of innovation, improve the quality of education and develop their careers.

Thereby, contributing to improving the effectiveness of professional activities, organizing educational activities and promoting emulation movements in schools; encouraging, motivating, creating opportunities for teachers to practice, self-study, be creative, learn, exchange, communicate, and disseminate experiences in caring for, nurturing, and educating children.

According to the plan, the contest will take place from December 8 to December 26 and will be held at Hoa Sen Kindergarten, Le Loi Kindergarten, Thanh Vinh Ward and Quynh Thien Kindergarten, Hoang Mai Ward and Quynh Di Kindergarten, Tan Mai Ward.

In this contest, teachers must present a measure to contribute to improving the quality of child care, nurturing and education by teachers at the preschool where they are working.

In addition, teachers must organize the teaching of a specific educational activity in the form of a lottery, according to the educational plan of the preschool chosen as the practical exam location, at the time of the exam.
