Mobilizing social resources for the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses demonstrates the spirit of solidarity and community responsibility and is the "key" for the program to achieve sustainable effectiveness and widespread spread.
With this result, the whole country now has 23/63 provinces and cities with no more temporary or dilapidated houses.
Besides localities that no longer have temporary or dilapidated houses, some other localities, such as Kon Tum and Binh Thuan, are continuing to review and update the number of houses in need of support, in order to more effectively implement housing security programs.
More than 206,000 houses supported nationwide
As of June 14, 2025, according to updated data from localities on the management software, the whole country has supported the elimination of 206,832 temporary and dilapidated houses. Of which, 155,501 houses have been completed and handed over and 51,331 houses are under construction or have just started construction.
Details of each support program: Housing for people with revolutionary contributions is 28,237 units (19,978 units completed, 8,259 units under construction); housing under the two national target programs is 52,409 units (46,203 units completed, 6,206 units under construction); the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses is 126,186 units (89,320 units completed, 36,866 units under construction).
The above figures clearly demonstrate the determination and synchronous participation of the entire political system in the effort to improve the quality of life for the people. This is not only the result of social security programs, but also a testament to the comprehensive development strategy, focusing on the people, aiming to leave no one behind in the new era of development of the country.
