On September 20, the Ho Chi Minh City 115 Emergency Center announced that it had coordinated with the Bac Tan Uyen Regional Medical Center to organize the launching ceremony of 6 115 satellite emergency stations for medical centers in region 2.
Thus, up to now, Ho Chi Minh City has 59 satellite emergency stations.

Specialist Doctor Nguyen Duy Long, Director of the 115 Emergency Center of Ho Chi Minh City, said this is an important milestone in expanding the out-of-hospital emergency network to meet the primary health care needs of the people, especially in the context of the city after the adjustment of administrative boundaries.
Accordingly, Ho Chi Minh City launched 6 115 emergency satellite stations in region 2 including regional medical centers: Thu Dau Mot, Ben Cat, Tan Uyen, Bac Tan Uyen, Bau Bang and Phu Giao.
“This not only improves people's access to emergency services but also demonstrates the city's health sector's determination to shorten the time to reach the scene, ensuring that patients receive timely emergency care, anytime, anywhere,” said Dr. Long.

According to Dr. Long, improving the capacity, quality, and coverage of out-of-hospital emergency care is a key task of the city's health sector from now until 2030 and the following years.
In the coming time, the foreign emergency network will continue to be expanded, with special attention paid to mobilizing the participation of private medical facilities, ensuring timely emergency services covering all residential areas.
From July 1, 2025, when people in Binh Duong area need emergency help, all calls to 115 will be routed to the Ho Chi Minh City 115 Emergency Center. Here, information is received, consulted and coordinated centrally, helping to manage more uniformly, synchronously and systematically across the entire system.
After merging and coordinating centrally through the 115 number, the number of vehicle dispatches, patient access and hospital transfers all increased significantly, with an increase of more than 50% in most indicators. People will have faster access to healthcare, including in remote areas.
