According to the program's report, Ms. Nguyen Thi Duyen is in a particularly difficult situation. She single-handedly works as a factory worker while also caring for her elderly mother and raising two young children, the eldest in 5th grade and the youngest in 2nd grade. With her meager factory worker's salary, for many years, the three of them have lived in borrowed accommodation, struggling to make ends meet. Ms. Duyen's biggest dream is to have her own home so her children can have a stable life and focus on their studies. However, her limited financial resources make this dream seem very far-fetched.

Understanding the circumstances of its member, the Trade Union of Viet Nhat Plastic Manufacturing Co., Ltd. proactively proposed to the higher-level Trade Union to provide financial support for the construction of a "Trade Union Shelter" for Ms. Duyen's family. Based on this, the Hanoi City Federation of Labor decided to provide 50 million VND to help her build a new house.

With support from the City Labor Union, along with help from family, relatives, the company, and savings accumulated over many years of work, in late February 2026, Ms. Duyen's family began construction of their house in a small hamlet in Phu Tuc village, Phuong Duc commune, Hanoi.

After nearly two months of construction, the house was completed, looking spacious and sturdy, and put into use amidst the joy and emotion of the whole family. The construction was done with guaranteed quality and absolute safety, becoming a stable foundation for Ms. Duyen and her three children to settle down, work, and study with peace of mind.

Presenting a financial support of 50 million VND along with gifts to the family of union member Nguyen Thi Duyen, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi City Federation of Labor Nguyen Huy Khanh congratulated the family on having a new home filled with the warmth and solidarity of the Trade Union.

Comrade Nguyen Huy Khanh expressed his wish that Ms. Duyen would continue to strive for a better life, actively participate in production, remain committed to the enterprise, and engage in trade union activities.

According to the Vice President of the Hanoi City Federation of Labor, the "Trade Union Shelter" support program has been implemented by trade unions at all levels in the capital for many years and has truly become a pillar of support for many union members and workers in difficult circumstances. Each house provided not only has material value but also contains the affection and sharing of the trade union organization towards the workers.

"Seeing union members excited and moved by the support in building their homes is a motivation for Hanoi's trade union officials to continue striving to better care for workers," Comrade Nguyen Huy Khanh shared.

On this occasion, the leaders of the City Federation of Labor acknowledged and highly appreciated the Trade Union of Viet Nhat Plastic Manufacturing Co., Ltd. for always caring for the lives of its members and workers through practical actions. The partnership between the enterprise and the Trade Union organization not only helps workers overcome difficulties but also contributes to spreading positive human values in the community.

The leaders of the City Labor Union also expressed their hope that in the future, the company's labor union will continue to cooperate with the enterprise to take care of the material and spiritual lives of workers; create jobs and stable income; and pay more attention to those in difficult circumstances so that workers can feel secure and committed to the enterprise and the labor union.

Deeply moved by the attention from the Trade Union, Ms. Nguyen Thi Duyen expressed her sincere gratitude to the Hanoi City Federation of Labor, the leadership, and the Trade Union of Viet Nhat Plastic Manufacturing Co., Ltd. Ms. Duyen stated that the timely support from the Trade Union was a great source of motivation for her family to confidently build their dream home after many years of hardship and deprivation. “Having our own house gives me much more peace of mind to work and raise my children,” Ms. Duyen said emotionally.

According to the plan, during Workers' Month in 2026, the Hanoi City Federation of Labor Unions is expected to provide support for 5 "Trade Union Shelters" to union members in difficult circumstances in the capital city, further affirming the role of the trade union organization in accompanying and caring for workers.
