Construction of Kinh Mon River overpass and access road connecting to National Highway 5 expected to be completed 2 months early

The investment project to build a bridge over Kinh Mon River (Hai Duong) and the access road connecting the interchange with National Highway 5 has completed nearly 50% of the volume.

The Kinh Mon River Overpass Construction Investment Project and the approach road connecting the interchange with National Highway 5 has a total length of about 1.55 km, of which the road section is 957.8 m long, the rest is the bridge section.

Construction started on October 15, 2024. To date, contractors have completed the crushed stone foundation of 700/900 m of the bridgehead road; completed the roadbed for 200 m of the bridgehead and completed the retaining wall.

Contractors have completed the installation of 3/12 bridge spans.

Completed construction of 11/12 piers and 2 abutments; completed casting of 40/60 Super T girders, completed launching and installing 3/12 bridge spans; completed processing of 60% of steel arches.

As of May 20, the total construction volume of the project reached about 50%, expected to be completed next October, 2 months ahead of the contract deadline.

The Kinh Mon River Overpass Construction Investment Project and the Access Road Connecting the Interchange with National Highway 5 is expected to be completed in October 2025.

The above project has a total investment capital of 600 billion VND from the provincial budget. The Hai Duong Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board is the investor.
